Stefan Johansson is an architect by profession and an artist by heart.
Born in Växjö, Sweden, he spent seven years in New York before settling in Höganäs, where he now lives and works. His art is a running commentary on the absurdity of the world around him — a reaction to the silliness of society as it unfolds. The work moves freely across scale and medium, from quick, spare drawings to large, ambitious paintings, with humour and a clear eye holding it together.
His work has been exhibited in New York, Galway (Ireland) and Zurich (Switzerland). He shares new work on Instagram at @lepardmonkey.
Out of Office is Stefan's solo exhibition at Salthallarna i Höganäs, running June through August 2026. The title is a wink at the architect's day job set aside — a show about work, dreams, and everything in between.
